Historic Batsto Village

Located In The New Jersey Pine Barrens

Today, Oct 6 2018, marked the the 11th annual Worldwide Photowalk started by photographer and all-round Photoshop/Canon guru, Scott Kelby.  Participating in several walks over the years, I decided to travel a bit father to a place I know I never would have visited on my own.  The Stay Focused Photography Group lead this year’s walk at the Historic Batsto Village located in the Wharton State Forest of the New Jersey Pine Barrens a few miles from Hammonton, NJ.  Batsto Village is a former bog iron and glass-making industrial center which played an important part as supplier to the Continental Army during the American Revolution.

This place had many photo opportunities, including a live blacksmith demonstration (see future post).  Amazing photos ops for any avid photog.

Excellent pilgrimage to the home lands to witness live, instead of NFL Sunday Ticket, my glorious Bucs take on the stinkin’ Iggles.  It was clear to see that all Iggle fans in attendance were still hung over from their SB victory (kudos) and expecting an easy win against a perennial cellar dweller.  It was magical watching Tampa put up points while the Iggle faithful sweltered in the Florida sun.  A photo of the stadium taken the day after on Victory Monday.
